“A selection of world-class artists to amaze you”
A MUSIC festival returns today to the bay of St Ouen and will feature DJs playing a mix of electronic, trance, techno and drum-and-bass music.
The summer edition of the Forgotten Forest festival at the Watersplash will also feature artwork and murals by local artists.
DJs playing at the event include LUUDE, an Australian electronic dance music producer who is best known for his 2021 remixed cover of ‘Down Under’ by Men at Work, which became one of the most streamed songs of the year with over 6.5 million downloads. British electronic music icons Eat Static, who make regular appearances at the Glastonbury Festival, will also perform. Award-winning drum and bass producer Voltage is also set to appear.
Speaking ahead of today’s event, co-manager Robin O’Toole said: “It all starts from 2pm on the terrace with some of the best bands and musicians on the island and then continues in the Splash, where we’ve transformed the entire venue into an immersive wilderness, with a lineup of world-class performers to blow your mind.
“We officially started setting up on Monday and added props, decor, projection lights and tons of other stuff to make the venue fit the vibe.
“It’s going to be a full house and the weather is beautiful. I can’t wait for people to enjoy this weekend’s event.
