Reigning Reggae / Dancehall Artist of the Year, Epixode, said every musician will need to show some level of creativity in their craft to survive the Ghanaian music industry.
His comments come after legendary Ghanaian musician Nat Brew, popularly known as Amandzeba, passed the mantle of music to Epixode given his creative exploits in the music industry so far.
The creativity of Epixode in the music industry, especially its performances on stage, has been very impressive and has been praised by many for its versatility.
“Every artist needs creativity to survive in the industry and you are able to be more creative, especially when you belong to a record company where other team members contribute to your creativity.”
“In other jurisdictions, people are employed to decide what an artist should wear on stage as well as other creatives that accompany a performance. Artists must therefore invest in the creative aspect of their profession because it is another way to get noticed, ” he told the Ghana News Agency in an interview.
Asked about the mantle of music handed down to him by Amandzeba, Epixode said: “It is an honor and a blessing to be recognized as one of the most creative artists in the country by the legendary Ghanaian musician Amandzeba and it shows that some artists in the industry have good content to offer. “
Epixode added that his plan to help upcoming musicians is still on-going as he prepares to feature 50 in his next project and hopefully that would bring some positives and encourage them to do more. great progress in their careers.
