Beyond LA: R&B Artist Raiche Creates a Rich Soundscape of Honest and Empowering Music

Massachusetts native and multi-dimensional R&B singer Raiche never hesitates to confess his feelings or to express them in a song. Writing honest, sweet, and moving R&B, the charismatic young artist brings personality, wit, and reality to her music that continues with vulnerability and strength. His latest single, “Idiot” exemplifies his outspoken, yet poetic songwriting talent, and focuses on this in a relationship where a person has grown beyond their partner and realizes the relationship never really satisfied them in the first place. Raiche’s new single will appear on his upcoming debut album, land of lovedown later this year.
“‘Fool’ is simply an honest, heartfelt breakup song,” Raiche notes. “I speak candidly about my needs and why I constantly missed this person and how I can’t take it anymore because I would really be playing myself. The song is uplifting and an ode to all who love themselves enough to release anything or anyone that no longer serves them.
Leaving before things get bitter, Raiche notes that she still wishes the best for her ex, but his stifling energy is no longer something she wishes to be subjected to. Paired with a stylish and sultry music video, Raiche first sings in an ethereal, white and lacy outfit with a green, fertile background. Next, she climbs inside an abandoned bus, donning a skin-tight two-piece outfit and a long black leather coat as she claims her independence from a one-night romance. Ending on a “to be continued…” cliffhanger note, Raiche sets out for a series of cinematic music videos tied together by a central theme or plot.
Growing up in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, just a two-hour drive from Boston, Raiche was introduced to music at an early age, in part because of her mother’s role as a worship leader. Raiche accompanied his mother to choir/music practice, often taking the mic to sing alongside his mother, and soon performed in church and school plays. Keeping a point of contact with music, even when life took her on different paths, Raiche never completely lost sight of her aspirations through multiple life changes.
Before releasing her own original work, she recorded covers of popular songs and found success with her breakthrough release of “Money Pasta” in 2018. An introduction to the songwriter Prince Charles (BeyonceBailiff, and Rihanna) led him to sign the talented singer to his recently launched Island Prolific imprint to Atlantic Records. Since then, she has been named one of Billboard’s 15 Hip-Hop and R&B Artists to Watch in 2021, featured as an “Artist on the Rise” on YouTube, and has been listed as one of “On The Verge Artist”. from iHeartRadio.
“Fool” is the follow-up to Raiche’s 2021 singles “Burn Your Clothes” and “Choose a Side (Remix)” with Ty Dolla $ign. His first album, land of love, drops later this year with more new music and music videos to come.
