Downtown SLC sees more musical guests with Utah Arts Festival lineup
The 46th annual event takes place June 23-26 in downtown Salt Lake City, Library Square and Washington Square.

After a year off and a year late, the Utah Arts Festival returns to its June date, bringing together a wide range of artistic disciplines – visual arts, music, dance, film, literary performance, food and more – in downtown Salt Lake City.
Organizers of the arts event — scheduled for June 23-26 at Library Square and Washington Square (200 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City) — announced the nine headlining musical acts scheduled to perform on Friday. The nine are the “most musically diverse mix of headliners” the festival has ever featured, organizers said.
Here are the headliners for the 46th Annual Utah Arts Festival:
• Lyrics Born (June 23, 9:30 p.m.): A Japanese-American rapper, who is also part of the duo Latyrx with Lateef the Truthspeaker.
• Kombilesa Mi (June 23, 9:45 p.m.): An Afro-Colombian group that combines traditional music with rap, in Palenquero (a Creole language of Spanish origin) and Spanish.
• The Fixx (June 24, 9:30 p.m.): London based rock band known for hits like ‘One Thing Leads to Another’ and ‘Saved By Zero’.
• Theo Croker (June 24, 9:45 p.m.): A Grammy-nominated jack-of-all-trades jazz trumpeter, composer, singer and producer.
• Judith Hill (June 25, 9:30 p.m.): This pop-soul singer-songwriter started out as a backup singer, was featured in the documentary “20 Feet From Stardom” and was chosen to sing “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” with Michael Jackson for the ever gig. played star. “This Is It” concerts in 2009.
• Esther Rose (June 25, 9:45 p.m.): Country music artist based in Louisiana.
• Toubab Krewe (June 26, 5:45 p.m.): A five-member alternative-indie instrumental group that fuses music from Mali and the southern United States.
• Leyla McCalla (June 26, 7:45 p.m.): An American classical and folk musician, who was a cellist with the Grammy Award-winning band Carolina Chocolate Drops.
• Digging the earth (June 26, 7:45 p.m.): A group of eight soul and funk musicians from Northern California.
