Excision Launches Six-Figure Creator Fund for Underrepresented Artists – EDM.com

Excision continues to take the initiative to provide valuable opportunities for artists of tomorrow.
The barnstorming producer and boss of Subsidia Records has announced the launch of the Excision Bass Music Initiative, an opportunity that will materially impact the lives of ten budding artists.
In an ad, Excision says the idea came in part after reflecting on a traumatic time in her life. “When I was two, I was in a car accident that left me with 88 stitches in my head,” Excision said in a statement. “As well as being a major moment in my childhood development, the accident left me with a small settlement that I was then able to use to relaunch my musical career.”
Excision feels called to try to pay for producers who may also need a monetary boost to continue their creative journey. To that end, the six-figure fund supporting the Excision Bass Music Initiative will be split among ten underrepresented and disadvantaged artists. Other sponsors participating in the effort will donate essential software and other studio equipment.
