Fameye wins Songwriter of the Year at VGMA23

Musician, born in Fameye, Peter Famiyeh Bozah won the Songwriter of the Year award for the first time at the 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
He won the award with his song “Praise”.
Fameye beat out competition from four-time winner Kofi Kinaata, Diana Hamilton, Akwaboah, Minister OJ and Abiana.
His victory in this category is timely as he broke the dominance of High life musician Kofi Kinaata who won the category four times.
During the first evening of the awards program dubbed Industry, 13 prizes were awarded to deserving winners.
The prestigious awards program is set to climax on Saturday when Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Highlife Song, Album of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year, among other accolades, will be announced. .
