Indian-Canadian singer-songwriter Sabrina Sapal releases her single “Kiss Goodbye” released by VEVO and TMC Records Worldwide. The song is written, produced, composed and directed by Jasmine Kara. Sapal was the first artist for the launch of TMC Records Worldwide. Sapal is the singer and appears in the clip as an actress. “Kiss Goodbye” is a heartbreaking song made in the EDM genre that appeals to young people. The song was shot at several locations in the Greater Toronto Area. Sapal traveled from Los Angeles to Toronto to shoot the music video for “Kiss Goodbye”. Sapal remembers the first time he was offered the song. “I got a call from Jasmine saying she had created a song that she thought would sound good in my voice and when I first listened to it I thought it was composed in a single stream. It had a dark Pop EDM flavor that appealed to me. I was ready and excited to walk into my studio and record it right away. I loved the song because it was relevant to the Sapal has worked in so many cities around the world, but this was her first time working on a music video in the city where she was born (Toronto). favorite of the video, she excitedly explained working with artificial rain for the first time in one of the music video locations, “I didn’t mind being soaked in the artificial rain at all. In fact, I was immersed in my emotions. I was completely in the mood for the song and Jasmine kept encourage me behind the camera while filming the scene. For me, I’m ready to be in all weather conditions as long as it makes the project look its best, whether it’s in the rain or playing with fire (literally). Sapal can be seen working with fire for the second time in a music video.
The first time was when she was working in India for the clip “Shauq Marran Da”. The “Kiss Goodbye” music video was shot in a matter of days and in many different sets around Toronto. Sapal’s last release was a sweet and melodious love song called “Hichki” released by Jass Records and has now released “Kiss Goodbye”, which is the complete opposite in terms of theme. “I don’t like to be seen as the two good shoes all the time. While that’s a facet of my personality, I also have a dark side, hence my selection of ‘Kiss Goodbye’ songs. I like keeping audiences on their toes with an element of surprise with every song release.Sapal also expressed how lucky she feels to be able to do a wide variety of songs already so early in her career.
After being asked if she would be willing to sign to any label, she admitted, “I’ve turned down a lot of signing offers to record labels because I don’t think I’d have as many creative freedom to release the type of song I want. Release. I’m not against the idea. When I’m approached by a label that I feel comfortable working with and where I can continue to feel liberated, I will definitely sign. For now, I’m enjoying being an independent artist. Sapal has a few upcoming EDM releases which are collaborations with European music producers. The songs are written and composed by Sapal. When asked how she comes up with the lyrics, she laughs and explains, “I write based on real experiences that are sometimes embellished or fictional scenarios that float around in my head until I write them into a song. I crave to tell stories in my songs that people can imagine without having to watch the music videos. The music videos are just the icing on the cake. Sapal feels that audiences are the most eager to hear his EDM releases more than other genres right now.
