Legendary Saxophone Player Kenny G Releases New Song, “Emeline”
Legendary saxophonist and songwriter Kenny G is releasing his new song, “Emeline”, which features on his first new album in six years. The new record to come, New standards, is scheduled for December 3.
Kenny G is widely known around the world for his mellow music and saxophone jazz tunes. His skill and touch made him look rarefied. He is also one of the best-selling musicians of all time, with over 75 million records sold.
His most recent release is the album Brazilian Nights, which he released in 2015. Most recently, Kenny G has collaborated with Kanye West, the Weeknd and the new SpongeBob SquarePants Movie: Leaking sponge.

Later this year, a new documentary, Listen to Kenny G, about the musician is slated for release on HBO, by director Penny Lane, as part of the channel’s music box series with ringer films.

Kenny G is also particularly self-deprecating and aware of his status in the music industry. The butt of jokes at times, the very wealthy and successful saxophonist is like a duck in water, letting the critics fall on his back.
For example, in the Variety interview below, he asks Lane: “Is it too late to change the title of the film?” How about this, how about: Kenny G, this guy is really blowing!“
