Gospel musician Omari Kissi Junior

Omari Kissi says his new single Mehyia Yesu has given him a rebirth in the gospel music industry because it received Ghana National Gospel Award nominations.

Omari Kissi ventured into a solo project after breaking up with Heartbeat Music.

According to the gospel artist, breaking away from the music of the heartbeats to venture into his musical career has been a great experience. He added that the experiences he had during his six years as a backing vocalist helped him organize his solo project.

He also commented on the benefits of learning from his experience as a backing vocalist.

“It means you’ve learned a lot and you know a little about the ministry, then you know a little more about the music business and things that go with it, then the pressure. Because you know, organizing a concert is a lot of pressure. Releasing a single, releasing an album, promotions, all of those things are not easy. So you learn, and you sort of walk on their platforms that they gave you and are able to make your own. So it’s a good experience. “

The artist also said he drew on songs from all over the place, but most of them came from the church. He said, “All these ways, I mean, about two days ago, I woke up to a song. And I had moments in the bathroom, throwing out ideas. But a lot of my writing comes from the church.
