Nicki Minaj says she will “always continue to release music”.

The 39-year-old rapper just released her first single of 2022, a collaboration with Lil Baby titled “Do We Have A Problem?” and insisted she would stay in the music industry on her own terms.

Asked by Jayda Cheaves on Instagram Live how she keeps going when people doubt her, she replied: “I’ve always been the type of person who likes, if I feel someone – when people bet against me, that makes me super, super hungry… or super angry Super like… I have something to prove.

“I’m always going to keep releasing music. I have a real fanbase and no paid bots. I never will – and I’ve said it before, I’ve said it years ago – I will never quit the game until I want to quit. It will always be on my terms.

“I know I deserve to be here. I know I’ve worked.”

Meanwhile, Nicki recently opened up about ‘New Body’, her collab with Kanye West, admitting it will probably never be released.

She said, “Audiences loved ‘New Body’. Like, ‘New Body’ was the biggest hit that ever came out. I think the ship sailed for ‘New Body’ because everyone in came to like the original way they heard it, so I’ll let everyone have it in their that’s what it is.
