UK hip-hop producer Pxrv paves the way for music producers to emerge as mainstream artists with new single titled ‘Drunk’
As history demands, music producers and track engineers have always been the talent behind the curtains, laying the groundwork for a track to be released under the direction of a notable singer/rapper. We now live in the modern age where anyone in the industry is able to create a product that can appeal to audiences across the multiple streams of online media.
Today, more than ever, music producers are becoming as influential as singers, thanks to the power of their compositions and their personalities.
Who is Pxrv?
Parwinder Marway (Parv), known in music as “Pxrv”, is an artist of North Indian (Punjabi) descent. Pxrv trained in North Indian classical music and was brought up within the traditional Indian framework of classical music and instrumentation. West London based producer/engineer Pxrv has taken his time curating his preferred style of music. A harmonious blend of Hip-Hop, R&B, Afro-Swing and a sip of whatever pleases the ear.
Multicultural artists are on the rise and are entering mainstream media. We live in a time where diversity is natural, and the notion of “music translates into one language” could never be truer.
Drunk – The new single
Pxrv’s new version follows “Callin” which was released in 2019 (BBC Radio 1 feature with Annie Nightingale) with Cartier Ricks and Jmuni (LoadB Muni) on lead vocals. “Drunk” is an urban, smooth and catchy take on British hip-hop/rap, featuring Cartier Ricks, LoadB Muni, A1clone and Reapz on lead vocals, and associate producer Arjxn.
‘Drunk’ was composed with a big hall club sound in mind. The audience response suggests that it has such commercial value that it could very easily be presented anywhere, whether at a club, a party or on TV/cinema as a soundtrack.
Drunk is released under the “LoadB” collective, and Pxrv is the in-house track engineer and composer for camp artists such as Cartier Ricks and Loadb Muni.
